The Tenerife theater company Delirium Teatro celebrates its 40th anniversary with the play "Crossed Books," which tells the story of the impact of "Anna Karenina" on the lives of three women.

On Friday at 8:00 PM, the Leal de La Laguna Theater will host a special event – the 40th anniversary celebration of the Tenerife theater company Delirium Teatro. To mark the occasion, they will present the play "Crossed Books."

This play was written by playwright Antonio Tabares from Palma. It tells the story of how the lives of three women change after reading "Anna Karenina."

The main characters – Mariana, Patricia, and Silvia – seek solace, honesty, and meaning in life. Through Leo Tolstoy's book, they discover a love for literature and realize how strongly books can influence people, make them think, and even help them solve problems.

The play stars Soraya González del Rosario, Joche Rubio, Maday Méndez, Silvia Criado, and many other actors. They will portray 20 different characters from Tabares' play.

Delirium Teatro is an important part of the history of contemporary theater in the Canary Islands. Over 40 years, they have staged plays on various themes and in different styles: dramas, comedies, contemporary theater, street performances. They have created about 30 productions, which have always been of high quality.

Among their famous works are "One Place Walks," "Tick-Tock," "Don Quixote," "Canaries," "The Tip of the Iceberg," "Bernarda Alba," "Project Faust," and "The Donkey's Belly." These plays have received many awards in Ukraine and abroad.

The company, founded by Severiano García and Soraya González del Rosario, is known for staging serious and relevant plays that make you think. They do this with a special approach, adding humor and showcasing acting full of passion and truthfulness.
