The Goonies Returns to Spanish Cinemas Dec 12-14
Beloved film "The Goonies" is set to return to cinemas across Spain from December 12-14 for a special limited screening.
The Goonies is coming back to cinemas very soon! From December 12-14, this beloved film, which has charmed generations, will be shown on the big screen across Spain.
Most people know the story of The Goonies, but here's a quick recap: It follows 13-year-old Mikey, who, with his older brother and friends, forms a group called "the Goonies." One day, while exploring their attic, where Mikey's father stores old items, they stumble upon a 17th-century pirate treasure map. Full of adventure, they decide to follow it and find the treasure.
Filming for The Goonies started on October 22, 1984, and took five months. Director Richard Donner made an unusual choice: he filmed the scenes in the exact order they appear in the movie. This was done to make it easier for the young actors. He also encouraged the cast to improvise often, aiming for more natural performances.
A standout part of the production was the life-sized pirate ship, built to make the scenes truly spectacular. After filming wrapped, the crew offered the ship to anyone interested in keeping it. But despite its huge popularity in the movie, no one wanted it. To the surprise of the production team, the ship was eventually taken apart and disappeared after filming.
