A man has been arrested in Tenerife for illegally selling food and drinks near Teide National Park and now faces a fine.

A man was caught selling in the open air in the Chipeque area of Santa Úrsula. This was reported by Civil Guard agents from the Seprona Teide nature protection unit.

They were patrolling the viewpoints near the Teide National Park to prevent large gatherings of people and to prevent forest fires.

During their shift, they noticed a small stall at one of the viewpoints selling cold drinks and food.

The agents asked him for documents allowing him to trade and confirming that he complied with the rules for selling food products.

Since he had no documents, he was told to stop trading. He now faces a fine under five articles of the Canary Islands Law on Commercial Activity.
