The Champions Burger Island Edition Arrives in Tenerife
The Champions Burger, Spain's largest food festival, is now underway in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, showcasing 14 top restaurants competing for the "Best Burger in Tenerife" title until December 8.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is now hosting The Champions Burger, bringing some of the country's best burgers to the island.
November 28, 2025. The Champions Burger, Spain's largest food festival, has made its first stop in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, kicking off with a lively atmosphere. The event has arrived in the Canary Islands with its "Island Edition" tour, featuring popular burgers from its successful mainland journey.
The city council welcomed the festival, with Javier Caraballero, the councilor for festivals and recreation, visiting the site.
During the opening event, he spoke with the chefs, who are ready to impress the Tenerife public with their gourmet burgers. He also took the opportunity to sample dishes that showed the competition's high quality.
These burger creations feature carefully selected, certified meats, known for staying juicy and full of authentic flavor. Options include Black Angus, Japanese Wagyu, and Iberian pork ribs. Chefs combine these with bold ingredients like brioche buns covered in edible gold or filled with mozzarella and coated in Doritos Bits; sweet Iberian ham; beef and pistachio caramel; bone marrow mayonnaise; cured meat jam; and toasted truffle egg yolk. This highlights the talent and creativity at The Champions Burger.
Until Monday, December 8, 14 top restaurants will battle for the title of "Best Burger in Tenerife." They will prepare their burgers in modern food stalls at the César Manrique Maritime Park, where visitors can taste and vote for their favorites. Only one can win!
Since it began eight years ago, The Champions Burger has become known as the original burger championship and Spain's biggest food festival. Its unique format gathers the country's best burger restaurants in one place, encouraging new establishments and showcasing creative, unique burgers.
This year's tour has been the biggest yet, with over 6 million visitors – a new record – across more than 50 cities. The festival has also expanded internationally with special events in Paris and Porto.
