Fortune smiled on a resident of Tenerife this Sunday, August 31. As reported by the State Lottery, someone has hit the jackpot of over a million euros!
The lucky ticket was purchased in the town of Los Naranjeros, in the municipality of Tacoronte. The winner guessed all 6 numbers and will receive €1,235,949.93. But they are not the only lucky one in Spain – another prize of the same size was won in Pontevedra.
A tax will have to be paid on this amount – 20% of the amount exceeding €40,000. So, after paying taxes, the winners will receive approximately €996,759.94 each.
There were no winners in the second category (5 numbers matched + additional number).
But in the third category (5 numbers matched), 76 people across Spain won. Each of them will receive about €2,771.25.

How to play Bonoloto?
Bonoloto draws are held daily. The ticket has 8 columns with numbers from 1 to 49. During the draw, 6 balls are drawn from the main drum and one from the additional drum – this is the refund number.
You can play Bonoloto with a simple or multiple bet. In the first case, you need to fill in several columns, indicating 6 numbers in each. In the case of a multiple bet, the numbers are marked in only one column, but their number depends on how many bets you want to make.
The cost of one bet is €0.50. The minimum cost of a ticket is €1. Therefore, if you play in one draw, you must have at least 2 bets. If you participate in several draws (for example, a weekly draw), then one bet is enough.
55% of all funds collected goes to the prize fund, which is distributed among different categories:
- 1st category: all 6 numbers matched.
- 2nd category: 5 numbers matched + additional number.
- 3rd category: 5 numbers matched.
- 4th category: 4 numbers matched.
- 5th category: 3 numbers matched.
- Refund number: if the number on your ticket matches the refund number, you will receive an additional prize.
