According to preliminary information, the body was discovered by a relative of the missing woman in the mountains near Cabo Blanco, in the direction of Valle San Lorenzo and La Florida.
The body was found at one o'clock in the afternoon. The Civil Guard and a forensic expert immediately arrived at the scene.
It is recalled that the disappearance of the 75-year-old woman, who lived in the Morro de los Gatos (Cabo Blanco) area, was reported on Wednesday afternoon.
On the same day, at nine o'clock in the evening, the local police of Arona and the Civil Guard joined the search. They searched for the woman until two o'clock in the morning.
After a few hours, the search was resumed with more people and equipment. Drones, a helicopter, and canine units were involved. The drone unit of the local police of Arona also assisted.
