The "Bocadillazo" gastronomic route is launching in Santa Cruz de Tenerife!
Local authorities, together with the city development organization, are inviting cafes and restaurants in the Southwest district to join this delicious event. The goal is to support local businesses and encourage people to visit food establishments.
The city's mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, says that "Bocadillazo" will delight residents and visitors for the second time. He added that this initiative is part of a larger plan called "Enjoy in the Districts," aimed at supporting local businesses.
From November 26 to December 21, participating establishments will surprise visitors with their culinary masterpieces. The organizers hope that this year's offers will be even more interesting, and that people from all over the city and the island will come to taste something new.
Carmen Pérez, CEO of the development organization, noted that participation in the route is free. Cafe and restaurant owners who want to join can apply online until November 14, 2:00 PM. Applications will be considered in the order they are received.
Up to 40 establishments can participate in this year's "Bocadillazo": bars, restaurants, cafes, and other establishments with a dining area. The main condition is the availability of all necessary permits to conduct business in the Southwest district of the city.
As in the past year, the best "bocadillazos" will be recognized. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite dishes through a special online application. This year, the winners will receive cash prizes: 200 euros for first place, 150 for second, and 100 euros for third.
Visitors were not forgotten either! Those who vote for the dishes will participate in a raffle for gift certificates worth 60 euros, which can be used in any of the participating establishments.
According to Carmen Pérez, "Bocadillazo" is a great opportunity to try a variety of original dishes at an affordable price (3 euros, without drinks). The initiative not only introduces the culinary talents of local establishments, but also promotes active recreation on the streets, meetings with friends, and support for local businesses.
The "Bocadillazo" route is part of the "Enjoy in the Districts" program and is supported by the city authorities as part of the development of trade and tourism.
