In Tenerife, three people have been arrested for severely beating a 17-year-old disabled boy for his clothes and 20 euros, and the case of a 13-year-old girl who filmed the attack has been referred to the public prosecutor's office.
A terrible incident occurred in northern Tenerife: a young man was brutally beaten for a few items of clothing and 20 euros. The whole thing was filmed and the video went viral on social media.
The victim is a 17-year-old boy with a disability (50%). He was unable to defend himself against the kicks and punches that simply knocked him off his feet.
It happened last Thursday, around 4:00 p.m., near a road in the town of Icod el Alto (municipality of Los Realejos).
The video shows the boy falling onto a car after being hit, and then onto the ground – horrifying footage.
There were four attackers. After the beating, they simply fled.
The boy's mother and he himself went to the police. Law enforcement officers found the video on social media and launched an investigation.
The police identified the main attacker as a 25-year-old Spaniard from the El Fraile area. He confessed to the crime.
It also turned out that another 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old teenager were involved in the attack. All three were arrested for robbery, assault, and invasion of privacy.
In addition, it turned out that a 13-year-old girl filmed the whole thing on her phone and posted the video on social media. She cannot be charged due to her age, but her involvement has been reported to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
