TF-5 View Dubbed "World's Most Beautiful Highway" Goes Viral
Tenerife's TF-5 highway, dubbed the "most beautiful in the world" for its breathtaking views of Teide framed by palm trees, has gone viral, highlighting a daily spectacle often overlooked by commuters.
Many people in Tenerife drive the TF-5 highway every day, often without noticing the incredible beauty it holds. This busy road, which runs across the north of the island, hides a special view that many drivers miss during their daily rush. In fact, some even call this particular stretch the most beautiful highway in the world.
Running 62 kilometers from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to El Tanque, the TF-5 highway is truly one of a kind. It winds through the entire north of Tenerife, offering breathtaking landscapes that look like they belong in a holiday film, with stunning views of the sea, green valleys, and the magnificent Teide volcano.
Yet, many drivers are often too focused on the traffic and their daily routine to fully take in these beautiful surroundings. Estimates show that over 110,000 vehicles use the TF-5 daily, making it one of Tenerife's most important and busiest routes.
The most spectacular view appears on the TF-5's descent into the La Orotava Valley, especially when passing through La Victoria de Acentejo and Santa Úrsula. As cars head downhill, a grand corridor of palm trees lines the road, creating a perfect frame for the majestic Teide volcano to emerge in the background. This stunning, natural image could easily be featured on any Tenerife postcard.
This particular view recently went viral thanks to a video shared by Guaripeta Camper. The video beautifully shows how the palm trees open up like a curtain on the right side of the road, revealing the magnificent Teide dominating the landscape.
