TF-1 Car Fire Near Guía de Isora Closes Lane
A car caught fire on the Southern Highway (TF-1) near Guía de Isora on Friday afternoon, leading to the closure of one lane.
A car caught fire on the Southern Highway (TF-1) on Friday afternoon, near the town of Guía de Isora.
The incident occurred at kilometer 93, in the lanes heading towards Santiago del Teide.
Emergency services were alerted by the 1-1-2 operations room and quickly responded to the scene. These included local police and volunteer firefighters from Guía de Isora, as well as Civil Guard traffic officers.
The flames started at the front of the vehicle, a Citroën C3, which suffered the most damage in that area. To allow firefighters to work, local police had to close one of the highway's lanes.
