Tenerife: Two Arrested with 375kg Hashish After Traffic Stop
A man and woman were arrested in Granadilla de Abona after Civil Guard officers discovered 375 kilograms of hashish in their uninsured van during a traffic stop.
Civil Guard officers in Granadilla de Abona have arrested a man and a woman, aged 35 and 24, for suspected drug trafficking.
Traffic officers pulled over a van on the TF-1 because it didn't have insurance and its vehicle inspection (ITV) was out of date.
When they stopped the van, the officers noticed the driver and passenger seemed nervous. This made them check the van's cargo area, where they discovered 375 kilograms of hashish in cardboard boxes.
This arrest was part of the Civil Guard's ongoing work to make sure vehicles on the roads are following all the rules.
