Tenerife Trams Face 3-Day Disruption For Track Maintenance

Metrotenerife will implement significant tram service changes from January 31st to February 2nd for essential track maintenance, including partial Line 1 operation with alternative buses, and the suspension of Line 2 and Line 1 night services.

Metrotenerife has announced that tram services will change significantly for three days, from Saturday, January 31st, to Monday, February 2nd. These changes are necessary due to important maintenance work on the railway tracks. Normal tram services will resume on Tuesday, February 3rd.

The maintenance includes replacing rails in the Taco, Hospital, and Padre Anchieta tunnels. Because of this, Line 1 trams will only run between the Intercambiador and Chimisay stops.

For the section of Line 1 between Chimisay and La Trinidad, an alternative bus service will be provided. These buses, coordinated with TITSA, will stop near the affected tram stations.

Additionally, Line 2 and Line 1's weekend night service will be suspended for these three days, from January 31st to February 2nd.

Passengers can find more information about the tram service on the Metrotenerife website, www.metrotenerife.com, by calling 922 099 119, or on their social media channels: Facebook, X (@tranviatenerife), and Instagram.
