Tenerife tram services will operate on a special schedule for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with some adjustments due to an ongoing strike.
On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th, trams will begin service at 6:00 AM. Line 1 will run every 6 minutes from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM. After 3:00 PM, trams will operate every 7.5 to 10 minutes. Line 2 trams will run every 12 minutes during the morning rush. In the afternoon, they will operate every 15 to 20 minutes. Services will finish earlier than usual, with the last trams on both Line 1 and Line 2 departing from their termini at 8:30 PM. After these final services, all tram stops will close.
Service will resume on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25th, at 8:00 AM. As it's a public holiday, trams will run on a holiday schedule, with frequencies of 12, 15, or 30 minutes depending on the time of day.
Please note that tram services on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be affected by an ongoing strike by company workers, which runs from Monday to Friday. During the strike, Metrotenerife will ensure that both Line 1 and Line 2 operate with a minimum service level of 80%.
