Tenerife to Host MasterChef Influencer Competition Finale
Tenerife will host the final stage of El Reto de MasterChef from June 26 to 28, bringing together digital creators and culinary talent to compete for a spot in the fifteenth season of MasterChef Spain.
Tenerife is set to host the final stage of the second El Reto de MasterChef from June 26 to 28. Held in Santiago del Teide, this event blends the world of high-profile television with the digital creator economy, using the power of social media to promote local gastronomy.
Supported by the Cabildo de Tenerife and the local council, the event goes beyond a standard cooking competition to act as a major influencer marketing platform. More than 90 participants will take part, mentored by entertainment figures and content creators who reach a combined audience of over 27 million followers. This approach highlights how traditional television is evolving into a hybrid format that relies on digital engagement and public participation.
The three-day schedule features cooking challenges, technical demonstrations, and public gastronomic experiences. Mentors for the contestants include Raquel Meroño, Nagore Robles, Rubén García, Estefanía de Andrés, Luzu, Chefenials, and Daniel del Toro, with Alex O’Dogherty serving as the event analyst.
The event also serves as a strategic boost for local businesses. Sponsors such as Danone Canarias, Panadería Zulay, Bodegas El Lomo, Tirma, and Binter are involved, alongside INTERPORC, which will host ham-carving demonstrations and its Spanish Bocata campaign. Other partners include Dialprix, Galletas Gullón, Cosori, Avomix, and Harinas P.A.N., with The Show Room Mag managing the VIP areas. These collaborations aim to maximize the visibility of the archipelago’s food and drink sector, building on the 150 million impressions generated by the previous edition.
The competition offers a significant career opportunity: the top three finishers will earn a spot in the "Episode 0" of the fifteenth season of MasterChef Spain, set to air in 2027. This creates a direct link between amateur talent and prime-time television, cementing the event's role as a bridge to the professional industry.
