The inaugural Vinopop festival will debut in La Laguna on May 23, offering a unique cultural experience that combines Canarian and mainland wines with a diverse lineup of Spanish musical performances.

The Canary Islands’ cultural scene is evolving this year with the launch of a new festival format. Organizers have announced that the first edition of "Vinopop" will take place on May 23 at El Polvorín de Taco in La Laguna, blending wine culture with a lineup of popular Spanish music.

Promoted by Moon World, the event moves beyond a traditional concert, positioning wine and gastronomy as its main attractions. As experiential tourism and local products become increasingly important to the regional economy, the festival will feature a mix of Canarian wines alongside well-known mainland labels like Emilio Moro and Menade. This will be paired with a culinary selection of local cheeses, pastries, and other regional specialties.

The musical lineup is designed to appeal to a wide audience. Performers include Café Quijano, known for their fusion of bolero and pop; the retro-inspired band Tennessee; and the contemporary group Da Igual. The program also features tribute acts to Joaquín Sabina and Estopa, ensuring the event appeals to fans across different generations.

The El Polvorín de Taco venue will be transformed into a multifunctional space, featuring dedicated areas for shopping, relaxation, and exhibitions. By creating an environment designed for leisurely enjoyment, organizers hope to make Vinopop a recurring fixture on Tenerife’s calendar—offering a complete cultural experience rather than just a musical performance.
