The new "Vinopop" festival will debut at Tenerife’s Polvorín de Taco on May 23rd, offering a multisensory experience that combines live music with regional wine and culinary tastings.

The Canary Islands are expanding their cultural scene with new events that blend local industries with entertainment. A prime example is "Vinopop," a new festival coming to the Polvorín de Taco in La Laguna, Tenerife, on May 23rd. Organized by Moon World in partnership with the local council, the event reflects a growing trend of creating multisensory experiences rather than traditional concerts.

The festival is built on three main pillars: live music, wine, and regional food. The musical lineup features a mix of well-known bands like Café Quijano, Tennessee, and Da Igual, alongside tribute acts covering the hits of Estopa and Joaquín Sabina.

Wine is also a central focus. Attendees can participate in tastings that feature both local island wines and well-known mainland brands, such as Emilio Moro and Menade. To complement the drinks, the event will showcase cheeses and pastries from Gran Canaria, encouraging guests to discover and support local products.

The Polvorín de Taco was chosen for its spacious layout, which allows for a smooth flow between different zones, including exhibition areas, terraces, and food stalls. With this inaugural event, organizers hope to establish La Laguna as a key destination for cultural tourism, offering a high-quality experience that appeals to both local residents and visitors who enjoy wine culture.
