The inaugural Golden Ring Awards will take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on June 20th, celebrating excellence in Spanish television through a peer-voted ceremony featuring 23 categories and an honorary tribute to actor Antonio Resines.

The Spanish audiovisual industry is heading to Tenerife for the inaugural Golden Ring Awards, a new event designed to become the gold standard for recognizing national television fiction. The ceremony will take place on June 20th at the Trade Fair Center in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, marking a significant step in decentralizing major cultural events across the country.

Hosted by Elena Sánchez, Santi Millán, and comedian Abián Díaz, the gala will feature 23 awards. What makes these honors unique is the selection process: the winners are chosen by approximately 600 members of the Circle of Spanish Series Professionals. This peer-led approach mirrors the voting systems used by major film academies and actors' unions.

Beyond the awards, the event serves as a key networking hub for the industry. Actor Antonio Resines is confirmed to attend to receive the 2026 Honorary Award. He will be joined by a wide range of performers and creators, including Fernando Guillén-Cuervo, Bob Pop, Natalia Ferviú, Antonio Dechent, and Carla Quílez. Organizers also plan to announce musical performances in the coming days.

The awards are made possible through a public-private partnership between the Tenerife Island Council, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, and Rims Mobility. This collaboration highlights the Canary Islands' commitment to becoming a premier destination for filming and major entertainment events.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at premiosanillosdeoro.com. Priced at 10 euros, the tickets are intended to encourage public participation in a night that celebrates both technical and artistic excellence in Spanish television. The website also provides information on entry requirements, policies for minors, and accessibility arrangements for guests with reduced mobility.
