Tenerife to Host Güímar Summer Fest and Coastal Cleanup Initiative
Tenerife will host the free Güímar Summer Fest-Boncho Tour on August 22, featuring a full day of live music and food, followed by a coastal cleanup initiative on August 23 to promote environmental sustainability.
Tenerife is once again focusing on revitalizing its coastal public spaces this summer. The upcoming Güímar Summer Fest-Boncho Tour 2026 will take place on August 22 at the Plaza del Radioaficionado (formerly Plaza de Las Indias). This free event runs from 1:00 p.m. to midnight, highlighting the town’s commitment to outdoor culture and recreation.
The musical lineup begins with Deepak Daswani at 1:00 p.m., followed by Juana La Cubana at 4:00 p.m., Las Mellizas at 6:00 p.m., Tana Sandoval at 8:00 p.m., and a final performance by La Maldita at 10:00 p.m. In addition to the music, there will be a variety of food trucks and stalls offering gluten-free and vegan options, as well as a selection of pastries and beers.
These events are part of a growing trend in the Canary Islands to balance tourism and leisure with environmental protection. To promote sustainability, organizers have partnered with Cerveza Dorada to host a cleanup day on Sunday, August 23. Under the slogan "For a clean Boncho," volunteers will collect waste along the coastline to help protect the marine ecosystem of El Puertito de Güímar from the impact of the festival crowds.
