The Tenerife Symphony, led by conductor Pablo González and featuring guitarist Rafael Aguirre, will perform a free concert exploring Spanish and French musical influences this Tuesday at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Arona.

The Tenerife Symphony returns to the road this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. with a performance at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Arona. Conducted by Pablo González—who will serve as the orchestra’s principal guest conductor for the 2025/2026 season—the concert explores the deep historical and artistic ties between Spanish and French symphonic music.

The highlight of the evening will be a performance of Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez by acclaimed guitarist Rafael Aguirre. A world-renowned performer, Aguirre brings this beloved classic to the stage as part of a program that highlights the influence of dance and orchestral color in classical music.

The Symphony also remains committed to showcasing contemporary works and local talent. The program features Riojana by composer Laura Vega, reflecting the orchestra’s ongoing effort to bring modern music to communities across the island, an initiative supported by the Cabildo of Tenerife to make culture more accessible to everyone.

The concert concludes with two 20th-century masterpieces: a selection from Manuel de Falla’s The Three-Cornered Hat—marking the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth—and Maurice Ravel’s Boléro. These pieces illustrate how Ravel drew inspiration from Spanish traditions, highlighting the creative bridge between the two musical cultures.

Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance through the official websites of the Arona Auditorium or the Tenerife Symphony.
