Tenerife hosts a diverse array of cultural, sporting, and carnival events this weekend, reinforcing the island's status as a vibrant, year-round destination.

Tenerife’s busy schedule this weekend highlights the island’s growing role as a year-round hub for culture and sports. Local institutions and private businesses are working together to keep the island active beyond the traditional tourist season.

Music The music scene is a major highlight this weekend. On Saturday at 9:30 p.m., Fito y Fitipaldis will perform at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Exhibition Centre as part of their "Aullidos Tour 25/26." Tickets for this show sold out months ago. For a more intimate experience, David Otero will perform an acoustic set at the Búho Club on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

Cinema As part of the Tenerife Noir 2026 festival, TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will screen A Place Called Silence, directed by Sam Quah. The film, which explores themes of social pressure and impunity, will be shown on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in its original language with subtitles.

Carnival The Los Cristianos Carnival is reaching its busiest point. The festivities continue this Friday, March 13, with the Drag Queen show. Saturday, March 14, will feature the second Daytime Carnival, along with family activities, costume contests, and a beach parade. The celebrations conclude on Sunday, March 15, with the Gran Coso Apoteosis, the festival’s main event.

Sports Professional sports round out the weekend. On Saturday at 12:00 p.m., Costa Adeje faces Levante UD in a football match at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium. Later that evening at 7:00 p.m., the Santiago Martín arena will host a Liga Endesa basketball game between La Laguna Tenerife CB Canarias and Valencia Basket, showcasing the island’s ability to host top-tier national competitions.
