Tenerife Solidifies Status as Urban Music Hub as Cook Music Fest Returns
Tenerife is hosting its fifth annual Cook Music Fest this weekend, drawing over 100,000 attendees to Santa Cruz for a sold-out showcase of international urban music stars.
Tenerife is cementing its status as a major hub for live entertainment in the Atlantic as it celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Cook Music Fest. The island has become a key destination for top international urban music stars, sparking significant excitement across the archipelago.
The festival, held at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has already sold out tickets for its opening day, "Urban Mood." Running from this Thursday through Saturday, the lineup includes major artists such as Don Omar, Farruko, Ivy Queen, and Myke Towers. Organizers expect more than 100,000 people to attend over the three-day event.
To accommodate the crowds, organizers have transformed a 60,000-square-meter space into a fully equipped venue with various services designed to enhance the attendee experience. The festivities kick off this Thursday at 4:00 PM with DJ sets leading up to the main performances.
The festival’s success highlights the growing popularity of large-scale events in the Canary Islands, which are increasingly attracting a young, global audience. The arrival of these high-profile artists at Tenerife North Airport underscores the festival's rising influence, firmly establishing the capital as an essential stop on the world tours of today’s biggest urban music acts.
