Tenerife's Meridiano Mall Unveils 'Gingerland' Christmas Village
The Meridiano Shopping Center in Tenerife's capital unveils "Gingerland," a festive village opening November 28 with a light switch-on and a program of Christmas activities until January 5.
Christmas is a truly special time of year for many, bringing together families and friends for reunions and cherished memories, all set against a backdrop of festive decorations.
To celebrate this season, more and more places in Tenerife are putting a lot of effort into creating specific decorations and events. These attractions invite both children and adults to enjoy a unique Christmas experience. This includes public spaces organized by local councils, private businesses, and even individuals who transform their homes into festive gathering points.
This year, the Meridiano Shopping Center in Tenerife's capital is launching a special holiday program called Gingerland.
Gingerland, a festive village featuring Gio as its main character, opens this Friday, November 28. The shopping center announced on social media that "Christmas comes alive in our gingerbread village, with its charming little houses, trees, and a stage built from recycled materials."
Activities will run until January 5 and, as always, will include visits from Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men.
The fun kicks off on Friday at 7:30 PM with hot chocolate and a children's show. This will be followed by the Christmas light switch-on and a gospel concert at 8:00 PM.
On December 5 at 6:00 PM, you can enjoy a gingerbread cookie tasting. The next day, December 6, at 12:00 PM, Gio and Gina will host a Christmas ornament workshop for children.
Friday, December 12, brings another children's workshop at 6:00 PM, where kids can make Christmas trees using recycled pots. Then, on Saturday, December 13, at 1:00 PM, there will be a Christmas sweets tasting.
On Friday, December 19, at 6:00 PM, adults can join a gift wrapping workshop, followed by a children's Christmas choir performance at 7:00 PM.
Saturday, December 20, features a children's workshop to make Santa Claus stockings at 1:00 PM. Later that day, at 6:00 PM, Santa Claus will make a special visit to the shopping center. He'll return on December 22 and 23, also at 6:00 PM.
After Christmas, on December 26 at 6:00 PM, children can join a workshop to create gifts for the Three Wise Men using recycled materials. On Saturday, December 27, at 1:00 PM, there will be a Christmas chocolate tasting.
To round off the season, the Three Wise Men will make their traditional visits on January 2, 3, and 4 at 6:00 PM. They will also be there on Saturday, January 3, at 12:00 PM.
