Tenerife’s Line 1 Tram to Partially Close for Maintenance This Sunday
Metrotenerife will partially suspend Line 1 service this Sunday, April 19, for track maintenance, with free replacement buses operating between Cruz del Señor and the Santa Cruz Interchange.
Public transport in Tenerife’s capital will see significant changes this Sunday, April 19, due to essential railway maintenance. Metrotenerife has announced that Line 1 will be partially closed to allow for track repairs, part of an ongoing preventive maintenance program.
From 7:00 a.m. until midnight, trains will only run between La Trinidad and Cruz del Señor. To help passengers get around, Metrotenerife has partnered with TITSA to provide a free replacement bus service. These buses will run between Cruz del Señor and the Santa Cruz Interchange, stopping near the stations that are temporarily closed.
To keep passengers informed, the company will place signs at affected stations and have staff on-site throughout the day to assist travelers. You can also find service updates and travel alternatives on the company’s website, social media channels, or by calling their helpline at 922 099 119.
The work is scheduled for a Sunday to minimize disruption when demand is lower. Normal service on Line 1 will resume early Monday morning, April 20, with trains returning to their full route and regular schedule.
