Tenerife's Famed "Chicken Bar" Oasis: A Culinary Must-Try Since 1962

The food blogger Cocituber, who travels Spain looking for the best restaurants, recently visited a famous spot in Tenerife. This place is all about the chicken, and Cocituber loved it so much, he told all his followers to check it out.

It's called Restaurante Oasis, and it's in Adeje. They've been serving their famous chicken since 1962. The secret? A special sauce that makes it totally unique. Locals just call it "the chicken bar of Adeje."

The menu is simple, but it has all the classic Canarian dishes you need, and the prices are great.

Restaurante Oasis focuses on simple, traditional flavors. Their star dish is homemade-style fried chicken. You get three pieces for just 5 euros! The recipe hasn't changed since 1962, and it's a must-try for anyone visiting the island.

To go with the chicken, they have fries (€2.75) or Canarian wrinkly potatoes (€3.40), plus salad (€2.75). Don't forget the bread, either regular or with garlic (€1.25 - €1.50). It's perfect for soaking up the sauces – the spicy one, the green one, and the famous "mojo Oasis," which is their own special recipe.

For dessert, they have homemade cakes and sweets, priced between 5 and 6 euros. A perfect way to end your meal.

After his meal, Cocituber raved about the restaurant. "Everyone told me to come here, and it's amazing," he said.

The recipe has been passed down through the years, making this place a Tenerife institution. For about 15 euros per person, you can enjoy homemade, traditional, and delicious food in a friendly atmosphere.
