It's getting harder to find good, affordable restaurants. With rising prices, it's rare to come across places that offer an excellent meal for one set price.
But a TikTok account, @guachinchesmodernos, has uncovered a hidden gem in Tenerife. This restaurant in Granadilla de Abona serves a menu for just 9.5 euros, including a starter, main course, dessert, and bread with butter – a price almost unheard of today.
In southern Tenerife, there's still a spot that ticks all the boxes: good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and great value. Called El Chiringuito, it's known for its authentic homemade meals at budget-friendly prices.
Their daily menu is one of the most extensive on the island. You can choose from 13 starters, like classic potato salad ('ensaladilla') or Canarian stew ('rancho'). For your main course, there are 17 options, including highlights like stuffed zucchini or chicken breast in mushroom sauce. To top it off, pick from 12 homemade desserts for a sweet end to your meal.
Drinks aren't included, but you can add a bottle of water for just €1.30, making the menu still fantastic value.
You'll find El Chiringuito in Granadilla, only a minute off the highway. It offers its own parking, disabled access, and a pet-friendly terrace. Card payments are accepted, making visits even easier.
El Chiringuito is open Monday to Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. From Thursday to Saturday, they extend their evening hours until 10:00 PM. Please note, they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for staff rest.
