Tenerife Property: Outlying Areas Gain Value

Tenerife's property market is shifting, with areas beyond main tourist hubs gaining value as buyers seek peace, nature, better prices, and good services.

Tenerife's property market is seeing a new trend: areas further away from the main tourist hubs are becoming more valuable. These spots offer a great alternative for people looking for peace and nature, often at better prices.

According to a recent market study, this shift means there are good buying opportunities in towns like Candelaria and Arona. Here, you can find a variety of properties to suit different buyers' needs.

High housing prices in the island's most popular areas have pushed interest towards these outlying locations. However, these areas still have good access to essential services. This situation is creating attractive options for properties that could be a permanent home, an investment, or a holiday retreat.

For example, in Igueste de Candelaria, within the Candelaria municipality, a ground-floor apartment is on sale for 233,000 euros. This 101-square-meter property has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open-plan living room and kitchen. It's in excellent condition, ready to move into immediately, and comes with two large parking spaces (enough for up to three cars) and two storage rooms. The apartment is also delivered mostly furnished and equipped.

In contrast, in the south of the island, specifically in Arona, there's a house that's over a century old. This 70-square-meter home sits on a 300-square-meter plot and is priced at 310,000 euros. It features two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a furnished kitchen with appliances. Its north-facing terrace offers lovely sea and mountain views. The property is in good condition and is sold furnished, making it easy to move in right away to a more rural setting.

These two examples highlight the diverse options available in Tenerife's market beyond its well-known hotspots. The apartment in Igueste de Candelaria offers spaciousness and valuable extras, while the house in Arona provides its own plot and clear views in a natural environment. Both reflect a growing demand for practical, well-located homes where a good quality of life is a top priority for buyers.
