Tenerife Police Rescue Dogs from TF-1 Highway, Avert Accidents
Tenerife police rescued two stray dogs from the TF-1 highway near Guía de Isora, preventing potential accidents and later reuniting them with their owners thanks to identification chips.
Local police in Tenerife prevented potential accidents on the TF-1 highway this Sunday by rescuing two dogs.
The dogs were spotted wandering on the busy road near Guía de Isora, putting themselves and drivers at risk.
Around midday, the 1-1-2 emergency center received calls about the dogs walking along the highway and crossing lanes near Las Higueritas.
Local police officers stopped and picked up the dogs – a mixed-breed and a Presa Canario – and took them to safety.
The dogs were then looked after while authorities searched for their owners.
Luckily, both dogs had identification chips, making it easy to find their owners.
The police located the owners and filed the necessary reports.
