The National Police are investigating a suspected kidnapping that happened on Saturday night in the Tenerife area.
Two men struggled with another person and forced him into the boot of a Seat Córdoba car, which then sped away.
Witnesses said this happened around 10:40 PM in the town of La Laguna.
Two cars, a black Seat Córdoba and a grey Opel Astra, drove into the La Candelaria neighbourhood, specifically in the La Cuesta area. They went to Machado y Fiesco street. Two men from the Seat Córdoba, which was driving in front, got out and approached a person walking on the street.
They managed to force the victim into the boot of the Córdoba and sped off. The driver of the Opel Astra stayed put, giving the Seat time to get away without being followed.
La Laguna's local police went to the scene. After talking to witnesses, officers searched the La Cuesta area and nearby places, but couldn't find the cars or the people inside them.
Police believe some of the people involved may have fled towards Valle Tabares or Los Campitos.
Because of what witnesses described, National Police detectives have taken over the investigation.
