Tenerife Police Dog Sniffs Out Hidden Drugs Near Market
Odin, a police dog in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, discovered hashish and prescription drugs hidden in gardens near a local market during a routine patrol.
Odin, a police dog in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, found a bag of hashish and about fifteen small bags of prescription drugs on Monday.
This happened during a regular check of places where minor drug dealing often occurs.
Police say Odin found the drugs in the gardens near the Mercado Nuestra Señora de África. He signaled to his handlers where the bags were hidden, so they could seize them and start an investigation.
The small bags contained various prescription pills.
No one nearby could be linked to the drugs, which were confiscated by the police.
