Police in southern Tenerife have arrested two young Moroccan men following a knife fight in Adeje last Wednesday night. Both individuals were taken into custody after a confrontation where they injured each other.

The incident happened in Adeje's town center, near Hermano Pedro Street. The fight began around 9:45 PM, and within five minutes, an alert reached the Canary Islands Government's emergency services. Initial investigations suggest the men knew each other and had previous disagreements, though the reasons were not disclosed to officers. The argument quickly turned violent, prompting neighbors to call the authorities.

Police responded immediately, with various units from Adeje Local Police, including investigators, motorcyclists, and patrols, rushing to the scene. Some police vehicles even drove against traffic due to the urgency. Officers from the Adeje Civil Guard and paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service also arrived. It's alleged that one of the men used a screwdriver to attack the other. Despite the violence, both men's injuries were minor, and they received medical attention at a local healthcare center.

Authorities are now checking if the arrested men have any previous police records or criminal history. After initial questioning, both were taken before the investigating court in Arona, where a judge will decide their legal situation and any potential charges related to the incident.
