Police in Tenerife have arrested three individuals suspected of kidnapping and seriously injuring a man, following an investigation that began last October after a public tip-off.

Police in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, have arrested three people suspected of kidnapping and seriously injuring a man. The arrests follow an investigation that began last October after a public tip-off about a violent incident.

The incident first came to light when the 112 emergency services received a call. A witness reported seeing three people violently assault a man in public, then force him into the boot of a car.

Even though no formal complaint was made at first, the police immediately started an investigation. The description of the event was so serious that officers wanted to find out what happened, identify the attackers, and locate the victim, whose identity and condition were unknown.

After weeks of searching, police found the victim. He had serious injuries and admitted he had been hiding for a long time, afraid his attackers would find him again.

At the same time, the National Police identified the three suspected kidnappers and attackers. Once they had enough evidence, officers launched an operation, leading to the simultaneous arrest of all three suspects.

The arrested individuals were handed over to the courts, along with the investigation findings and evidence. After appearing before a judge, all three were ordered to be held in provisional custody. They are charged with unlawful detention and serious injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing to fully understand the circumstances and possible motive behind this serious incident. The violence used and the way the kidnapping happened have caused public concern.
