Organizers in Tenerife have announced a musical prelude featuring local artists to manage crowds and communicate security protocols ahead of the papal thanksgiving mass on June 12.

Preparations for the papal visit to Tenerife are underway, with organizers sharing new details about the thanksgiving mass scheduled for June 12. According to Juan Antonio Guedes, the committee’s pastoral director, the main service will be preceded by a series of cultural and technical activities to help manage the large crowds expected to attend.

The event will begin at noon, with a one-hour program starting at 11:00 a.m. This prelude serves two purposes: to entertain the arriving audience and to clearly communicate security protocols and the event schedule using large video screens.

The musical lineup will feature several prominent Canarian artists. The religious group Guan Magec, led by Alejandro Abrante, will open the event. They will be followed by Los Sabandeños, who will perform a selection of sacred music. The prelude will conclude with soloist Chago Melián, whose performance of "Ave Maria" is expected to be a highlight of the day.

These activities are designed to keep the crowd engaged while helping organizers manage the flow of people safely. By using giant screens to share operational updates and security information, the committee aims to ensure that all attendees remain well-informed throughout the large-scale gathering.
