Tenerife embraces sustainable shopping with the opening of USA DEPOT in Las Chafiras on February 5th, a new store selling second-hand clothes by weight to foster a circular economy.

The shop, called USA DEPOT, is located at Calle Daniel Feo Feo 11 in the Las Chafiras Industrial Estate. It opens on Thursday, February 5th, and will be open Monday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
The people behind USA DEPOT have used this concept before. They previously launched "La Cerámica al Peso" (Ceramics by Weight), where customers paid for home decor and kitchenware based on its weight. Now, they're applying the same idea to clothes: shoppers pick out the items they want and pay based on the total weight of their selection, without worrying about brands or individual prices. The store will offer a wide range of quality and durable clothes, including vintage pieces, American sports items, modern urban fashion, denim, sweatshirts, shirts, and accessories.
This business model directly responds to the environmental impact of "fast fashion." The textile industry is known as one of the world's biggest polluters, creating millions of tons of waste each year. By encouraging the reuse of clothes, USA DEPOT helps reduce our environmental footprint and gives good quality items a longer life.
