This weekend, TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will screen Simón de la montaña (Simon of the Mountain) at 7:00 PM. This film by Federico Luis, which won the Grand Prize of the Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival, explores human potential and challenges common beliefs. It tells the story of a young man who joins a group of teenagers with different abilities. The movie stars Lorenzo Ferro, Pehuén Pedre, Kiara Supini, Laura Nevole, and Agustín Toscano, and will be shown in its original Spanish version.
La Laguna is hosting another 'La Noche en Blanco' (White Night) this Saturday. This popular event will once again turn the historic center into a vibrant hub for shopping, culture, heritage, sports, and family fun. From 10 AM until the early hours, the city will become a lively cultural and commercial street, offering activities for all ages and interests.
This Saturday, La Granja Park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host the 2nd Gastronomic Fair of Tapas and Wines. From 6:00 PM to midnight, the park will be filled with delicious flavors, local wines, and live music. Restaurants and wineries will come together to showcase local products, with performances by Orquesta La Sabrosa, Los Vándalos, and Melocos, among others.
Icod de los Vinos will celebrate its traditional 'arrastre de tablas' (dragging of planks) this weekend. On Saturday, the event starts at 7:00 PM, alongside the Great Wine Festival. The planks will be dragged again through Icod on Sunday, which will also feature a polka battle.
The Canary Islands 'Race for Life' Foundation, working with Adeje City Council, is inviting everyone to join a walk in support of those affected by breast cancer. This event aims to raise awareness, promote health, and show solidarity with people living with the disease. The walk begins at 10:30 AM from Siam Mall Shopping Center.
For sports fans, CD Tenerife will play CD Arenteiro this Saturday at 5:30 PM at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium. On Sunday, it's basketball day, with Spain facing Georgia in a qualifying match for the 2027 Qatar World Cup. This game will take place at the Santiago Martín Pavilion at 6:45 PM.
