Tenerife-North and Gran Canaria airports are among the top ten European airports with the most passenger complaints, according to Reclamio.

Tenerife-North and Gran Canaria are among the top ten European airports that receive the most passenger complaints, according to data from Reclamio.

The most complaints are directed at Madrid-Barajas Airport (15% of all complaints), Barcelona-El Prat (9%), and Paris-Orly (4.7%). These are the figures for the last 4 years.

The top five "leaders" also include the airports of Lisbon (3.5%) and Palma de Mallorca (3.4%).

The top ten "problem" airports also include Malaga, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Ibiza.

Jordi Mercader, head of Reclamio.com, explains that the number of complaints is affected by strikes, organizational problems (such as the recent strike by French air traffic controllers), and, of course, high passenger traffic.

Most often, people complain about flight delays and cancellations (including cases where more tickets are sold than there are seats), as well as lost or damaged luggage.
