A lottery ticket purchased at a shopping center in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, has won a third-category EuroMillions prize worth 83,046 euros in the draw held on Friday, May 15.

Luck has struck the Canary Islands once again, reinforcing Tenerife’s reputation as a frequent winner in European lottery draws. According to Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, a third-category EuroMillions prize was won this past Friday, May 15, with a ticket purchased at the Carrefour shopping center in Añaza, Santa Cruz.

The winning ticket matched five numbers—03, 10, 38, 41, and 43—along with the stars 2 and 9. The lucky holder will receive 83,046 euros. While this prize tier requires matching five main numbers and two stars, it offers a significant financial boost for the winner.

Launched in Paris in 2004, EuroMillions is one of Europe’s largest lotteries, connecting nine countries through a single betting system. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 50 and two stars from 1 to 11, with prizes ranging from the massive jackpot down to smaller amounts. The frequent wins in Spain highlight the country's high level of participation in the draws, which take place every Tuesday and Friday.
