The grants can be used for a variety of projects, including:
- Drafting equality plans for companies with 15 to 49 employees.
- Creating protocols to prevent sexual harassment.
- Developing staff training programs.
- Implementing strategies for flexible working hours to help employees balance their professional and personal lives.
The Council recognizes that a lack of budget is the primary barrier preventing small businesses from prioritizing equality. By offering this financial support, the administration aims to ensure that equality becomes a standard part of business management for companies of all sizes, rather than just a requirement for large corporations.
