Tenerife Landmark Gran Hotel Taoro Prepares for First Festive Season
Gran Hotel Taoro celebrates its first Christmas season since reopening with a lavish New Year's Eve Gala and diverse festive dining experiences, aiming to become a cultural and gastronomic benchmark in Tenerife.
Gran Hotel Taoro is getting ready to celebrate its first Christmas season since reopening. This is a big moment for Puerto de la Cruz and for everyone who has closely followed the recovery of this important Canary Islands landmark. With over a century of history, the hotel is once again a central part of social life in northern Tenerife. Now, in a new era, it blends its rich past with modern, elegant services.
The highlight of the festive program is the Grand New Year's Eve Gala Dinner on December 31st. The hotel hopes this event will become a major fixture in Puerto de la Cruz's social calendar. The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail on the panoramic Tagoror Lobby & Bar Lounge terrace, where guests can toast with stunning views of the ocean and the La Orotava Valley. Afterwards, the celebration moves to the Ballroom Taoro, the hotel's main event space. Here, a special menu will be served, featuring dishes like blue lobster with light fennel cream, or Galician beef stew with black potato parmentier and truffle. A Guinness savarin with salted caramel and cocoa will complete this high-end meal, paired with an exquisite selection of wines and Taittinger Brut Réserve Champagne. The experience also includes the tradition of the twelve grapes, an hour-long open bar, and a Belle Époque-inspired party with a dance floor.
On Christmas Eve, December 24th, the hotel also invites guests to enjoy its various excellent dining options. LAVA, led by chef Erlantz Gorostiza, will offer a dinner focused on culinary elements and techniques. AMALUR, also under Chef Gorostiza's direction, will provide a more intimate and contemporary dining experience. OKA, directed by Ricardo Sanz, will present an evening of high-end Japanese cuisine with the chef's personal touch. After dinner, guests can gather in the Tagoror Lobby & Bar Lounge for signature cocktails and lively conversations.
On Christmas Day, December 25th, Restaurante Atlántico will host a Christmas Brunch. This restaurant, with its open sea views, offers a particularly bright atmosphere during this season, accompanied by live music. On January 1st, the same space will host the New Year's Brunch, designed to start the year in a festive mood, with views of the Atlantic and the La Orotava Valley.
These celebrations mark the start of a new festive chapter for Gran Hotel Taoro, highlighting its ambition to become a cultural, social, and gastronomic benchmark in Tenerife.
