Tenerife Kayakers Rescued by Tourist Boat
Maritime Rescue thanked the crew of the tourist boat 'Neptuno' for rescuing kayakers in distress off Tenerife before their kayaks were towed.
Some kayakers in Tenerife got into trouble at sea this Saturday and had to be towed, Maritime Rescue reported.
A tourist boat called 'Neptuno' found the kayakers off the coast of Los Cristianos and managed to rescue them.
The 'Neptuno' then contacted Maritime Rescue, which sent out its rescue vessel, the salvamar Alpheratz. By the time the Alpheratz arrived, the 'Neptuno' crew had already brought all the kayakers on board and was able to tow their kayaks.
Maritime Rescue later thanked the crew of the 'Neptuno' for their actions. They also shared some advice for anyone planning to help others at sea, stressing that "solidarity and mutual aid at sea is a universal rule among seafarers."
