The third day of Tenerife International Fashion Week 2026 showcased a blend of high-end designer collections and traditional craftsmanship, reinforcing the island's growing role as a strategic hub for the global textile industry.

The third day of Tenerife International Fashion Week (SIMTE) 2026, held this Saturday, June 6, confirmed the Trade Fair Center as a vital hub for the textile industry. Beyond the runway shows, the event highlighted the economic importance of fashion in the Canary Islands. Efraín Medina, the island's Minister of Employment, Education, and Youth, emphasized Tenerife’s role as a meeting point for global trends and a key driver for local job creation.

The event was divided into two main areas: the "Black Box," dedicated to designer collections, and the "Urban Zone," which focused on street culture and traditional craftsmanship. In the Black Box, designer Silvia Fernández from León drew a full house of 500 guests for her "Brío" collection, which featured a striking black-and-white theme with intricate beadwork and a modern take on polka dots. This session also showcased work from Tenerife Moda designers Inmaculada Rodrigues and José Acosta.

The Black Box schedule was packed throughout the day. Early shows featured Mefaldas Tú, Flystyle Tenerife, and Lorena Gianinni, followed by afternoon presentations from Sandra Viera, Diego Filst, Paloma Suárez, Viperinas, Void, and David Moss. The evening concluded with shows by Amarca, Rodrigo Piñeiro, and KOII. The final show featured Clara Vegas Goetz, Miss Venezuela 2025, highlighting the growing commercial partnership between the Venezuelan and Tenerife fashion industries.

Meanwhile, the Urban Zone remained busy from midday. After opening with Sant Club and Dope Mine, the space hosted workshops on artisanal jewelry by Mararte and traditional Canarian openwork embroidery by Carmen Díaz and Dorada Especial, emphasizing the importance of preserving heritage in modern fashion. The urban runway later featured Adidas, Uniko, Caviar de la Rue, and a final collaboration between Moly and Mojo Wax.

The event continues this Sunday, June 7, with a focus on men’s barbering. SIMTE 2026 highlights a broader industry trend: blending artisanal tradition with the global ambitions of local brands. The success of the event not only showcases the talent of the designers involved but also cements Tenerife’s reputation as a strategic location for fashion, where innovation and sustainability are driving the region's economic growth.
