Tenerife International Fashion Week 2026 Campaign Launches Ahead of June Event
Tenerife Moda has launched a promotional campaign for the 2026 Tenerife International Fashion Week, which will feature a focus on sustainability and the 15th International Young Designers Contest this June.
Tenerife Moda has launched the communication campaign for the 2026 Tenerife International Fashion Week. Advertising on the tram line connecting Santa Cruz and La Laguna is now underway, aimed at boosting the event’s profile ahead of its June 4–7 schedule and reinforcing the island’s role as a key hub for the textile industry.
This year’s event goes beyond simple promotion, focusing on sustainability, craftsmanship, and the beauty sector. Island councilor Efraín Medina explained that the Cabildo aims to position fashion as a cultural asset that blends local identity with modern art, moving beyond purely commercial goals. This reflects a broader trend of professionalizing fashion events to make them both high-level industry showcases and accessible to the public.
The highlight of the program is the 15th International Young Designers Contest, with the final taking place on June 4 at the Trade Fair Center. This competition serves as a vital launchpad for new talent, helping designers overcome the common barriers to entering the industry. The seven finalists—Eva Gómez (Vitoria), Yeremay Hidalgo (Gran Canaria), Noé González de la Rosa (Tenerife), Yusef González Perdomo (El Hierro), Ni Luh Desy and IKadek Dode (Indonesia), Johannes Senior Paz (Venezuela), and Leonardo Mena (Mexico)—were selected based on their technical innovation and commercial potential.
The international diversity of the applicants highlights the organization’s goal of making the event a global benchmark. By connecting designers directly with the market, the Cabildo hopes to support the island’s industrial growth while providing a platform that balances high-quality design with professional opportunity.
