Tenerife Influencers Partner with Local Café to Launch Signature Sandwich
Tenerife-based content creators @guachinchesmodernos have partnered with Cafetería Los Majuelos to launch "Volcán," a signature summer sandwich that marks a growing trend of influencers co-creating menu items.
Content creators are taking their influence beyond social media posts and into the kitchen. The duo behind the popular account @guachinchesmodernos has teamed up with Cafetería Los Majuelos in San Cristóbal de La Laguna to launch their own signature dish. This partnership highlights a growing trend where influencers are moving from simply recommending food to actively co-creating it.
The result of this collaboration is "Volcán," a 6-euro sandwich served on artisan sourdough bread from Obrado MM, specially crafted to hold all the juices. The filling features roasted pork shoulder, a touch of teriyaki sauce, cream cheese, arugula, and a unique avocado mojo created with the local brand Guachinerfe.
For now, the sandwich is a summer special, though it could become a permanent menu item if it proves popular. To celebrate the launch on June 8th, the café—located at 48 Avenida de los Majuelos—is giving away ten free sandwiches to the first customers who order one.
This project shows how local content creators are becoming more professional, turning their online presence into real-world business partnerships. Cafetería Los Majuelos is open Monday through Friday during morning hours and is closed on weekends. As this collaboration shows, digital creators in Tenerife are no longer just observers of the food scene; they are now active participants in it.
