Tenerife House Fire Hospitalizes Four for Smoke Inhalation, Ladder Rescue Made
Four people suffered smoke inhalation, with three hospitalized, after a house fire in Arona, Tenerife, on Monday, where firefighters rescued one resident using an aerial ladder.
Fires in homes often show how important it is for emergency services to respond quickly. They also highlight that smoke inhalation is usually the biggest danger in cities.
A fire like this happened on Monday in Arona, a town in Tenerife. According to Canary Islands emergency services (CECOES 112), four people needed help after a house fire on San Clemente Street. While no one was seriously hurt, the incident showed how effectively different emergency teams worked together.
All four people suffered from smoke inhalation. One of them was treated at the scene. The other three were taken to a hospital; two had mild symptoms, and the third was in moderate condition.
Firefighters were crucial, using an aerial ladder truck to rescue one resident who was trapped inside by the smoke. Early investigations suggest the fire started in one of the rooms. Firefighters, two teams from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), the Civil Guard, and Arona Local Police all took part in the operation, showing how well they typically work together in such emergencies.
