Tenerife Hosts Quirino Lab Animation Executive Producer Seminar

Tenerife is hosting a special seminar for executive producers in the animation industry. The event, called Quirino Lab, runs from tomorrow until Saturday in the island's capital.

This training and networking event brings together 17 professionals from Ibero-America, including six companies from Tenerife. The goal is to equip them with new tools to tackle the ever-changing challenges in the global animation world.

International experts will be on hand to discuss the latest trends shaping the industry. Topics will cover new market trends, smart ways to run companies, how to fund projects, protecting creative work, and exciting new technologies like artificial intelligence, automated processes, virtual production, and reaching audiences on multiple platforms.

The program includes intensive workshops led by top specialists, followed by group discussions. Participants will also have chances to network with local businesses, learn about Tenerife's film scene and tax breaks, and connect with the Canary Islands' animation community through informal gatherings. A "Futures Lab" will also be introduced to foster collaborative development in the sector.

The seminar features experienced executive producers and professionals who have successfully created animated series, films, and shorts. Their involvement is expected to provide a thorough understanding of the future landscape of the animation industry.

The Quirino Awards are now in their ninth year, with the main awards ceremony set for April 17, 2026, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The city is taking over hosting duties from La Laguna, as confirmed by the awards organizers and their main sponsor, the Cabildo de Tenerife.
