
Tenerife Hosts HUB INtech Event to Drive Innovation and Economic Diversification
Tenerife's third annual HUB INtech event is solidifying the island's position as a technology and innovation hub, bringing together experts, businesses, and investors to explore digital transformation and its impact on economic diversification.
Tenerife is solidifying its reputation as a hub for technology and innovation with its third annual HUB INtech Tenerife event. Organized by the Tenerife Science and Technology Park (PCTT), the event will run from November 20th to 22nd at the Hotel Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey. It's quickly becoming one of the largest gatherings for innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment in the Canary Islands.
Over three days, HUB INtech Tenerife will bring together experts, established companies, startups, investors, and institutions. The goal is to explore the challenges and opportunities presented by digital transformation across key sectors crucial for diversifying the island's economy.
Juan José Martínez, the Minister of Innovation, Research, and Development, described HUB INtech Tenerife as a vital part of the island's strategy to broaden its economic base and develop new markets focused on knowledge and technology. He emphasized that the event creates real opportunities for high-value projects, proving Tenerife has the talent, capability, and foresight to compete globally in technology.
Olga Martín Pascual, Managing Director of PCTT, noted that the event reinforces the Science and Technology Park's role in fostering business growth and launching initiatives aimed at emerging markets. She added that HUB INtech Tenerife offers a unique platform for building connections, sharing knowledge, and identifying opportunities that boost companies' competitiveness, driving the island's economy towards more innovative, sustainable, and global sectors.

The primary aim of HUB INtech Tenerife is to promote innovation, talent, and digital transformation as cornerstones of the island's economic and social progress. The event will examine how Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and immersive technologies can drive economic, educational, and social change. It will also highlight how these tools can create new, skilled jobs, encourage technological training, and attract talent and investment to Tenerife.
The event's themes will be explored across seven distinct areas, focusing on how digital development can expand monetization and investment through innovation.
- Opening Talk: The event kicks off with "The Invisible Revolution: How Artificial Intelligence Opens New Opportunities," presented by AI and digital transformation expert Raúl Ordóñez.
- Premium HUB INTECH Forum – Fundación Diario de Avisos: This forum will feature two panel discussions:
- Panel 1: "Is Tourism's Future Technological?" with Victoria López, Isidro Fernández, Orlando Santana, and Olga Martín Pascual.
- Panel 2: "Is Innovation the Tool with Which We Build What's to Come?" with Iván Ballesteros, Svetlana Velikanova, and Juan José Martínez.
- Tenerife INvierte Forum: This is a space for entrepreneurs and investors, featuring presentations from projects seeking funding. It includes a talk on "Investment Trends" by former professional basketball player Ferrán Martínez.
- Discover XR: For the first time in the Canary Islands, the 8th edition of this prominent national event on extended reality will take place. It will include talks, panel discussions, demonstrations, and a live link to VR Day Valencia. Experts such as Laura Morales, Laura Raya, Celia Jiménez, Verónica Rodríguez, and Cynthia Gálvez will be participating.
- Binary System Showroom: This exhibition will display the latest hardware, electronics, and home automation innovations from international manufacturers.
- PCTT Point: This area is designed to encourage collaboration between startups, companies, and investors, fostering connections and business opportunities.
- Training Workshops: Practical sessions will cover:
