Tenerife Forecast: Changeable Weather Expected for Easter Holidays

Spain's State Meteorological Agency advises travelers to prepare for changeable weather in Tenerife over the Easter period, with temperatures expected to remain near or slightly below seasonal averages.

Planning a trip to Tenerife for the Easter holidays? Be prepared for some changeable weather. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), while current models suggest conditions may stabilize, long-term forecasts remain uncertain, and significant shifts are still possible.

For the holiday period between March 30 and April 5, temperatures are expected to be near or slightly below the seasonal average. While widespread or heavy rain is unlikely, the agency hasn't ruled out the possibility of light, isolated showers, which are common in the Canary Islands during spring.

This period follows a spell of unsettled weather caused by storm Therese. Between March 23 and 29, the islands are expected to see more persistent and heavier rain, particularly early in the week. However, conditions should gradually improve from Tuesday onwards, leading to more moderate temperatures. Expect cool mornings and nights, with the air warming up as the day progresses.

Because of the islands' unique geography and the influence of the ocean, weather patterns can be difficult to predict. Aemet advises travelers to keep an eye on the latest updates, as the forecast could change before the holidays begin.
