A house fire in La Laguna, Tenerife, injured three people due to smoke inhalation, while a separate kitchen explosion caused by a gas leak was contained without injuries.

Three people suffered from smoke inhalation after a fire in Tenerife early Monday afternoon.

The fire broke out in a house in the Finca España neighborhood, in La Laguna.

Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium and local police rushed to the house on El Médano street.

The emergency services also sent two ambulances to the scene.

The kitchen was damaged in the fire. Firefighters quickly put out the flames.

Three people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but their condition was mild, according to reports.

This wasn't the only fire in La Laguna that afternoon.

Firefighters and police also responded to a house in the Jardina area after a small explosion was reported.

The explosion was likely caused by a leak in a butane gas cylinder hose in a kitchen on José Rodríguez Pollo de las Canteras street.

The incident happened while the residents were cooking. Neighbors initially put out the flames.

Police officers then used their fire extinguisher to finish the job.

Firefighters completely extinguished the fire and removed two other gas cylinders from the kitchen.

No one was injured in this incident. However, an ambulance was sent to the area as a precaution.
