Tenerife firefighters responded to multiple emergencies over the weekend, including car accidents, a hiker rescue, and vehicle fires across the island.

Tenerife firefighters had a busy weekend responding to various emergencies, including traffic accidents, rescues, and fires, all to keep island residents safe.

Last night, firefighters from San Miguel de Abona Park responded to a car that had flipped over on Avenida San Francisco in Arona. They righted the vehicle, disconnected the battery, and helped with the cleanup.

Local Police and the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) also assisted at the scene.

On Sunday, La Laguna firefighters helped rescue a hiker in Chinamada. When they arrived, a GES helicopter was already there, so they helped get the injured hiker on board.

On Saturday in Santa Cruz, firefighters put out a car fire on Avenida Reyes Católicos, and another on the TF-1 highway near Añaza. Local Police were present at both incidents.

Also on Saturday, around 11:00 a.m., they rescued a cat that had fallen into a ditch on a hillside in Ifara. Local Police were also there.

In Puerto de la Cruz, firefighters from La Orotava park were called out around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday to a head-on collision between two cars on the TF-312.

They found that no one was trapped, so they secured the area, stabilized the vehicles, and helped the injured until the SUC arrived. Then, they disconnected the batteries and cleaned the road. Local Police also responded.

Around the same time in La Laguna, another traffic accident occurred on the TF-5 at Padre Anchieta. A car had overturned, but the driver got out on their own. Firefighters righted the vehicle, moved it to the side of the road, and cleaned up the area. The Civil Guard was also on scene.
