The extent of the fire and whether anyone was hurt is currently unknown.

Earlier in the day, Santa Cruz firefighters were called to a traffic accident on the TF-2. After arriving and confirming no one was trapped, they secured the area and helped with medical assistance.

The Civil Guard, Canary Emergency Service (SUC), and road maintenance also assisted at the scene.

In other news, firefighters from Icod de Los Vinos responded to another traffic accident after 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
