Starting April 13, Tenerife’s Titsa bus line 381 will extend its route to serve the Romántica II neighborhood in Los Realejos, providing residents with their first direct public transport link to Puerto de la Cruz and La Longuera.

Public transport in northern Tenerife is set for a major upgrade on April 13, when the Romántica II residential area in Los Realejos joins the island’s bus network for the first time.

According to the Los Realejos City Council, Titsa’s line 381 will extend its route to serve this neighborhood. This change addresses a long-standing lack of transport options for residents traveling to Puerto de la Cruz and La Longuera.

The new service follows successful road tests by Titsa and will offer two daily trips, Monday through Friday. This initiative is part of a broader effort by Mayor Adolfo González and Transport Councilor Alexis Hernández to reduce the area's isolation. Because the region’s challenging terrain has historically forced residents to rely on private cars, officials hope this bus extension will provide a practical, sustainable alternative for reaching local economic and administrative hubs.

The Los Realejos Mobility department is also in talks with the Cabildo de Tenerife to explore further improvements to the network. Technical studies are currently underway to potentially upgrade line 383 (serving San Vicente) and line 380 (serving Tigaiga).

While the new stop at Romántica II will not significantly change overall travel times for regular passengers, the City Council advises commuters to check the Titsa mobile app or official channels for updated schedules. This move marks a key step in the municipality’s ongoing commitment to better connectivity and sustainable transport.
